I want to upgrade my Kalash's Accurcy. Right now i can barely reach out to hit anyone and im a person who would rather spit out a couple bb's rather then a whole mag to hit someone meaning i'd like to become more of a "Sniper". I need a bit of help chosing parts mainly the Barrel and Hop up. I was thinking about getting

Barrel - Sytema 6.04mm Tightbore
http://hotspotairsoft.com/catalog/produ ... cts_id=879

Hop up - Systema Bucking
http://hotspotairsoft.com/catalog/produ ... cts_id=697

The FPS of my gun is fine and if it drops a bit it won't hurt me i'm aiming for more range and accuracy

Is that to the opening of the birdcage part of the muzzle break, or to the very end (where the inner barrel will show in the bird cage)?

The VFC comes with a moderately tight inner barrel. I had been under the assumption that the later Cyma and Kalash AK74s did also. Of course you can go tighter.

I'd do a search on R-A first to verify the tightness of the barrels and the exact length.

Also, for a little bit more range and a little bit more FPS you can install a bore up kit. But that is inside the gearbox, where as this other stuff is easier to replace because its just inside the body.

inner barrel diameter of 7mm sounds wrong. You're BBs would be rolling/dripping out instead of flying out.

The bushings should be 7mm. Maybe 7mm is the diameter from outer edges? Regular diameter is 6.5mm, if I recall correctly. And the VFC standard one might be 6.4mm. And other after market ones are 6.3mm I think. I'll need to confirm with Brayski.

6.04 roman!
but i agree there is no way it is a 7mm inner barrel.

Tightbores vary from 6.03 to 6.05 atleast from what i've seen.

The Manual says 502mm for the inner barrel so 509 is fine with us since we have the muzzle extending further

Right, I was off by a digit. So is it the standard is 6.04mm or is that the VFC standard?

I didn't even look into detail in the manual for measurements. I actually only rediscovered my VFC manuals last Thursday.

The muzzle break on our AKs houses the inner barrel up to the beginning of the birdcage opening. So the extra 7mm will be visible in the birdcage big open space before the actual end of the barrel. So the inner barrel will still be protected, but visible. Thats a personal aesthetic choice for you to deal with.

There should be some charts explaining how much distance you gain for every inch of barrel length. I'd look that up to see if the distance gained is worth the trade off for having a visible inner barrel.

http://airsoft-barracks.com/page.php?121

oh and btw,
according to this site
http://www.associatedcontent.com/articl ... html?cat=6

our barrel is about ~460
so 506 is over kill ....

i'd go with this:

Took it apart today but couldn't get the barrel out (Time to remove orange tip) for measuring but someone said ~460 so yeah. Took a while to put it back together and the first couple of bb's rolled out the barrel but the rest of the mag fired fine i'm assuming those bb's where the ones when i did something wrong reseating the hopup on the gearbox

Going to order the new bucking and nub get a new barrel later as money is too tight to just be throwing it around
