I've got some ideas and tips for DIY RGD-5 grenades similar to the TLSfx ones on the market. They won't be 100% accurate (not going to include a spoon) but should be close.
My Q is keen to help out, as long as none of them actually contain a firecracker explosive during design and testing.

Watch this space for sketches, plans and photos.

Engineering buddy that likes building things. He's all for the crafty end of it, but won't, for multiple reasons, get involved in the explosive end of the project.

This is long overdue!
Airsoft hand grenades that don't just look closer to what we'd carry, but also fit into all the different Russian hand grenade pouches.
Are you going the paper-mache route for the bodies? Or the wax route?

On a side note, will you have any TLSFx 'nades for Op: RC: ROO?

I'm going two types of mache for the grenade. Tolet Paper mache for the body, since it's a lot more brittle and will crack open better (I am guessing) when exploded. I'm going with a thicker mache for the fuse, since this will house the actual ignition source.

I don't have any TLSfx 'nades for ROO. They were just too expensive. Now I just need to get my hands on some firecrackers somehow.

I have a bunch at my place, but can't ship them or whatever. You'll have to wait for me to be home and one of you to come out my way.
