Posted on my Facebook, and Op East Wind's Facebook. I havn't touched an analog camera in about 10 years. Not bad if I do say so myself. These shots are scanned, and the only alteration is rotation where appropriate.

Asahi Pentax K1000 (1979), shot on Lomography Lady Grey B&W 400 35mm. Dialed the ISO back a step (ISO320) per Misha, to "soften" the shots a bit. Lens is the stock 50mm lens.

My first B&W photo in 10 years, Mr. Spank, doing what he does best, public indecency:

Image

Some of my first "indoor" shots. The physical prints look much darker than the scans (The blacks are "black" instead of deep gray). Buck, and possibly Sasha.

Image

Image

Image

And then I get back in my groove, and the shots just start coming out amazing.

Image

Image

Probably not front page of Pravda, but definitely the first photo you see when it says "Continued on page A-20".

Image

Image

Image

Multiple Sections gearing up for the final assault.

Image

Image

A little softer on the exposure. I was reading the light meter very well, and the few shots I did bracket didn't need it.

Sasha and the PKM, Best Friends 4 Ever.

Image

Han and the PKM. Now we can send pics home to his family and they can see that he is not an assistant cook, but defender of the glorious Soviet Union!

The first one was my first "bad" shot, and that's only because the subject had some kind of seizure.

"******* Grip" (C) Kuperov 1991

"If that fucking assistant cook serves barley one more fucking time..."

Image

Pretty sure he's aiming at a URAL full of Barley.

Image

Image

A lovely self portrait, taken with the assistance of Misha.

Laika stalking Fallout, preparing for the kill.

Image

Image

Image

There was a spot on this one, as it came from the photo lab. Don't know if it was on the film during development, on the print, or anywhere in between. Adds to the authenticity.

Image

Image

I love the way this one came out.

Image

Brett, Towing the Uazic

Best chiropractor ever.

Image

My daytime indoor shots came out that much better when the sun was shining.

Dirty 3rd:

Image

Brighter than the other shots, the contrast on this one just seems to be very sharp.

Such a busy photo, I love it!

Is Mark a member of these forums? He made for a great addition to the Soviet Camp, and medic'd damn near everyone during the final assault. He was also a sharp dresser too!

The Boys of 7POTA

Image

Ordered the flags to stand at attention for this photo, but we still got that one ****** ruining the shot by slouching... maybe one leg is longer than the other. All joking aside, photographic proof of everyone meeting the Gold Standard!

Image

Cultural Exchange:

Image

See, we all can get along... all it takes is Nuclear War... and death.

Image

Image

Our trip over to NATOLand revealed CUSTOMIZED CHAIRS. This shot was purely out of jealousy and because it's just a pimp shot.

Image

Brett and Swayze consult the good doctor for medical advice on STDs before departing to makeout point. :D

Image

Image

The first shot of our 7POTA Calendar.

Image

A very happy 7POTA, getting steaks and potatoes.

Artistic Shitters

Image

The view from NATOLand was AMAZING!

Image

Laika Agrees

Image

The Men that make the Magic Happen:

Image

Image

Close your eyes. Let the aroma of Steak and Potatoes fill your nostrils. Picture the green rolling hills, baby blue sky, and a hint of golden lemonade sunshine. Take in the laughter of men who tried to kill each other for the last 9 days. Go prone to take this picture, with a happy Laika basking in all this glory. Now just as you get everything lined up, take the photograph right before Laika licks your nose while Brett looks on, laughing. Thanks Laika!

Image

I did eventually get the shot I was trying to get.

Image

Image

I'm going to staple this one right inside the lid of my footlocker.

Image

Enjoy!

I moved this over to the gallery, where this belongs.

I hate McClane's Superman tattoo. Would be awesome to modify it to the Red Son shield instead. But still, out of place for EW.

Great stuff.
My wife loved the opening of the video, where I drudge Han's crate in the background.

The Deluxe Blue Ray Edition is now available for the first time in one convenient post.  Over 3.2 hours worth of footage!

Disclaimer:  I was 2nd in command of 7th Company.  I did not see as much front line action as 1st, 2nd or 3rd Section.  Also remember that what you see here is a mere fraction of the 216 total hours of the event.  I can only film so much on 2 8 gig cards, and more often than not, things are happening, and I'm too busy to film.

Photo galleries to this EW can be found here. For some reason, this gallery seems really small

I encourage everyone to check it out, and repost their favorite photos (or just ones that interest you) here so we can tell you more about them.

This was my section. I was the radio operator, and my big buddy is our section leader.
So many memories with these guys.
Some funny, some painful, and even sad. Spend so much time with these guys, even an imaginary death leaves an impact on you.

This here is a photo of an American.
But look closer to see why I am posting this GI on the our forum
Image
:VDV:

Another reason why I like this photo is because there is a photo from EW IV where I am sitting opposite of his position.

Another bit of awesome, because there is so much KLMK.
Us all looking pretty damn uniform in the coolest camo.
Those of you who still haven't gotten your hands on a KLMK, let this be further motivation for you!

Look, I found a video of my section.
Its cool because we're all rocking our sun bunnies in it.
There is no action though. Just my section being picked up after a mission. I believe this was after we took out a convoy and were back in East Germany. And I think this might have been a case of the GAZik coming out and bringing new troops and we replaced them for the trip home.

Here are photos from about that moment
Image

Image
I'm the only one that seems to be worried about getting shot to **** at the moment while we are all clustered together in an open area. I am using Alexi's rifle in this shot because he is technically dead and my rifle had suffered a dropped motor when we sprung that ambush on the convoy/column.

Another reminder that this is no ordinary airsoft game, but a milsim event, we had to deal with things like morning line-up and role-call. Comrade Lt. Kuperov was in charge of those.
Image

Laying of comwire, that was actually used, not just some prop.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/shoobe01/6 ... otostream/

There are thousands of photos from this event.
Don't be shy, check them out and re-post the ones you find interesting.

From our final combat
Also happened to be the only time I died during the event.
In the distance you see Alexi and Andruha, at a berm, fighting their way towards the church that was occupied by NATOvtsi
In the foreground is Artom and me. I've ditched my radio since it died before the assault started. I also removed my helmet because at this point I already took a hit to it, so I figured in real life it might have been forced off my head or I would have taken it off in shock or something. I'm feeling particularly pained in this moment because my AKS74 had malfunctioned at the start of the assault, and I felt I couldn't contribute. I was tempted to take the RPG-22 and try to help by shooting it into the building, but I didn't feel confident enough in my training to make it into the window or doorway, and not fall short and blow up my comrades instead. I was also considering just running in yelling and throwing hand grenades.
Image
In the distance, behind the structure to the right of the church are more comrades if you look close enough.

Lots of interesting stuff there.
Hope you guys are checking out the photostream.
