While I wait for my replacement RPG from Evike to arrive, I started to gather the rest of the parts I plan to use.

In above photo the main part I need to deal with is the fire control part. The back piece with the fake wood is really for show and does nothing but let excess gas escape when fired.

this expanding foam will make a nice plug for that rear part

I picked up some 1 1/2 inch PVC and a adapter . The ID on the RPG is 43mm and the OD is 47mm. The PVC is ID 40mm, ID on the adapter is 48 mm. Once I cut my PVC to length My friend who has a lathe will open up the ID of the pipe to match the RPG. The adapter is 1 mm too big so I will wrap the end of the RPG with Gorilla tape to made a strong attachment point/ seal.

After the lathe work I will polish the inside of the pipe with car compound and a tool I will make that will look like a big shotgun bore swab attached to a drill.
Image
I will have to notch the adapter to go around the front sight .
If all goes well the rocket will actually fly straight and father. If not I guess the extender will fly off and hit me in the foot.

The RPG is picky about the shells used as they dropped down the barrel not loaded into the rear like on a M203. The stock shell base OD is 42 mm the MAG brand shell I got are 43 and do not fit so I will have to carefully sand off 1 mm to make them fit

Made first barrel extension, did not go well. First shoot and the dam thing came off and hit me on the foot. I'm gonna have to rethink this.
